DAY 2.
After our tour of the Hoyop-Hoyopan Cave in Camalig, Albay, we continued travelling northward. But before leaving the town, mom and dad got a taste of their famous pinangat, made from gabi leaves mixed with gata (coconut extract). It comes in hot and not-so-hot variations. According to them, it has the great creamy flavor of coconut milk, vegetables, and seafood in each bite. And ofcourse, it has the spicy flavor that would emphasize the rest of the flavors in your mouth (that is if it doesn’t send you running for water!)
Anyway, it was already past noon time when we passed through the town of Guinobatan, still in Albay, and our stomachs began grumbling and making funny sounds so we agreed to eat lunch at the first local/home-grown restaurant (we were not looking forward to the common fastfood outlets since we wanted to make our dining experience as authentic Bicolano as possible) we will encounter along the way. But to our dismay, it was already 2pm and we haven’t found a Bicolano dining outlet so a few minutes later we were amused upon seeing a road sign telling us that the nearest Jollibee outlet, in Ligao City, was just a kilometer away. So, in the end, we ate lunch at Jollibee – Ligao City. LOL!

Kudos to Ligao City for their efforts in making their community friendly to persons with disabilities
Following our much-needed lunch, we hit the road again as we continued travelling to Pili, Camarines Sur where the Camsur Watersports Complex (CWC) can be found. As we re-entered Camarines Sur, very strong rains and thunderstorms welcomed us and prompted us to drive slow since almost nothing was visible to us.
We arrived at The Mansion Suites, where we would be staying for two nights, at almost 4 in the afternoon and it was still raining so, we just took a nap in our room.

The “Presidential” Suite
At around 5pm, when the rain finally stopped, we decided to check out the world famous CWC. One could just walk from the hotel to the CWC but since it was still puddly and muddy, we took the car instead.

The Camsur Watersports Comlex is the first world-class watersports complex in the Philippines and in Asia. It is located within the Provincial Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur. Read more about the CWC here.
We just checked the place for a few minutes, “camwhored” for a while and then immediately headed to Naga City to buy some basic necessities for our two-day stay in Camarines Sur and eat dinner afterwards. Fortunately, we found a local dining outlet and they were serving Naga lechon which was just like the lechons you’ll find in Manila with the sarsa.
