Mactan-Cebu International Airport
Last year, I wrote this in a post about the Mactan-Cebu International Airport:
Taking shots of the interiors of any airport is like playing backtouch (patintero). The best time to take photos is when the security personnel are away or when they aren’t looking towards you. It takes a lot of guts to expose your camera because when anyone from the security sees you, their eyes glow red. You really have to be vigilant and observant of the going-ons around you for you to know the best time to take some shots.
But this year, I didn’t mind the security guards. I just clicked, clicked, and clicked away, and they didn’t seem to care.

The Mactan-Cebu International Airport
Long lines everywhere in the airport: seems like a very busy day.

Departure entrance

Philippine Airlines check-in counters

Air Philippines and PAL Express check-in counters

Cebu Pacific check-in counters
After all the security and check-in procedures, and payment of terminal fees, we proceeded to the pre-departure area.
With still at least an hour before our flight, killing the time was not that difficult and boring thanks to the free WiFi at the airport, courtesy of Smart Bro.

The complimentary camwhoring photo, hahaha. The fact that I was able to sleep for an hour only the night before the flight (due to excitement and, umm, anxiety, I guess), and as a result was haggard-looking on the day of our flight, did not stop me from posing for the camera.

9:21am. 21 minutes before our flight!

The Domestic Pre-Departure Area. With the rise of new, modern, and stunning airports all around the country, the not-so-old Mactan Airport now looks very outdated and deserves a grand facelift and expansion (yes, very much, since it is the country’s 2nd most importand and busiest airport).

Oh my! i suddenly miss the airport.. LOL..
long lines everyday, i think…
well, have fun
Guess it proves the security now in the Airport. We were there just last week and have to say I much prefer the Manila airport compared to the Cebu one. Didn’t exactly enjoy the staff in one of the coffee shops near by, then they took my deodrant from me claiming it was “Flammable”. Oh well, part of the experience i guess.
