As of this posting, there are 64 more days to go before Christmas 2009! Advance Merry Christmas everyone!

Anyway, 6 uniquely designed Christmas trees were up for grabs as they were exhibited at the Northwing Atrium for “Oh Christmas Tree”, a designer Christmas Tree auction for the benefit of Typhoon Ondoy victims and other charities.

The Christmas Trees you see above were intricately designed by some of the country’s top artists, such as, Mary Anne Aboitiz-Arculli, Alex Medalla, Teresin Mendezona, Kate Torralba, Philip Rodriguez and Romulo Galicano.

clockwise from left, not including center tree: Kate Torralba’s ‘Kristmas KTree’, Alex Medalla’s ‘Going Green’ Tree, Mary Ann Aboitiz-Arculli’s ‘White Light’, Cebuano portraitist Romulo Galicano’s ‘The Artists’ Collective’ and Philip Rodriguez’s Coco Chanel inspired tree. The tallest tree at the center, was designed by Teresin Mendezona.

I heard that the bidding ran through as high as hundreds of thousands of pesos, or probably even some few million pesos! Wow! The bidding was held last October 8-13, 2009 and probably, the winning bidders now have their respective Designer Christmas Trees at home.
