Sinjin joins Sinulog 2010

Yipee! I am now officially a participant of the Sinulog Festival 2010 Photo Contest. Proof? My Photo Contest ID.

Sinulog Festival 2010 Photo Contest

Although I have no direct intentions to join and submit entries to the Photo Contest, I just bought a Photo Contest ID so that I could have access to the Sinulog Grand Parade carousel route and take photos without much obstruction.

Last year, one could get a Photo Contest ID for P500, but now, the price is now much higher at P650. Why? This time, aside from the competition ID which allows access to most Sinulog 2010 activities, they’ve included a Sinulog Photo Contest T-Shirt that must be worn during the actual Sinulog Grand Parade. I dunno if their scheme would work this time but last year, the ID was almost virtually useless as a lot of people, even without IDs were able to invade the cordoned area of the parade route, and besides that, even with IDs, some of the security personnel at the parade route still shooed us away, in a not so nice manner.

Anyway, here’s some bad news: For the t-shirts, the sizes left are EXTRA LARGE, DOUBLE EXTRA LARGE and TRIPLE EXTRA LARGE. Yes, you read that right! Those are enormously huge sizes (especially for me since my sizes are usually EXTRA SMALL/SIZE EIGHTEEN or SMALL), but since I won’t be able to access the Sinulog route if I won’t wear the shirt, I chose the SMALLEST among the three, LOL, so, ummm, register now and get your super large shirts! I don’t have a photo of my extra large shirt right now since I left it at an alteration shop. The price for the alteration is equivalent to the price of another Sinulog t-shirt but nah, I really don’t care too much since Sinulog happens just once a year and this year, Sinulog is on its 30th installment! Weee. I’m now super excited to celebrate with everyone again! Pit Senyor!
