DAY 1.
TARLAC STOPOVER:
Without question, it is possible to drive straight from Manila to Pagudpud if you leave not later than 5am but as not to stress out our driver, my dad, we decided to spend a Thursday night in Tarlac. We left Manila at 6pm (6:03pm exactly) since he had some important matters to attend to at work. Tarlac is 3 hours away from Manila and we arrived there at 9pm (8:55pm exactly). We checked in at La Maja Rica Hotel in Tarlac City.
The La Maja Rica Hotel and Restaurant is a Boutique Hotel situated along the national highway, halfway between Manila and Baguio at the commercial and business centers of Tarlac. The hotel offers a choice of 40 well remote, air-conditioned, centralized solar heating system for hot water usage, telephone with NDD/ IDD, 24 hours Standby Generation assuring no power breakdown and spacious and secured parking lots. For recreation, our guests can enjoy free use of our swimming pool.

Day 2. We left the hotel at exactly 7:32am and went straight ahead to the Shrine of Our Lady of Manaoag.

how does la maja rica started? pls..put the history of la maja rica
My sister held her wedding at the La MAja Rica Hotel on May 2010. Their service is TERRIBLE!!!! They will charge you every penny you got. The food were DISGUSTING!!!! They never served what was agreed upon regarding food. We ordered lauriat style food, and they did not deliver. The guest were very unhappy with their service and their food. My sis and her husband stayed for 3 more days after the wedding and the hotel wanted to charge them 5 thousand more even though they have already paid. Their hotel room has lots of bed bugs, cockroaches, and lizards. My brother-in-law left the hotel with lots of bed bugs bite…what an experience huh! Even the function room where the wedding reception was held have cockroaches, the worst part was that a guest saw a cockroach while she was trying to eat. Emz was a terrible function coordinator, she was lost in the middle of everything, she did not deliver what was promise, she did not know what to do when we asked for assistance. Guest arrived on time, and no one assist them on their sitting, no food or drinks were offered to our guests. When the guests arrived between 8 and 9 am, the function hall was not even ready. the wedding was suppose to begin at 9 am. The soda was supposed to be served in cans, La Maja Rica duped us in serving them with half water. EMZ promise that there will be ushers to guide guests, but, guess what???? there were NONE!!!! Kids food were missing fried chicken and desert which we already paid for….Guestsho arrived late were served food 10 minutes later, and mind you…it was past 1 pm. Food that was supposed to be served for 8 people is not even enough for 4 people…They have shortages of waiters, there’s not enough waiters to served 160 guests, and waiters all looked tired. Their cabinet doors in the hotel rooms were broken, one almost fell on top of my head.
All in all….I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!
