Muntinlupa City

On our first year in Metro Manila, we lived in Muntinlupa City, specifically in Express View Villas in Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa. We were then very shocked to see gray skies, a sign of pollution (We’re used to the very blue skies in Cebu). The place seemed unlivable. Trash can be found everywhere you look. And, you can’t see stars when you gaze at the sky at night. Overall, everything was messy.

But that isn’t the case now. Here are some pictures and they should speak for themselves.

Beautifully-landscaped center islands and clean, well-paved streets. Muntinlupa is so GREEN! (same as how Marikina is so pink and Cebu is so red and yellow)

Muntinlupa City

Muntinlupa took the green concept too literally. Their sidewalks are green too. (In fairness, green is friendly to the eyes)

Muntinlupa City Hall (this is the reconstructed city hall which replaces the original structure that was razed by fire last year. Due to this, the local government’s plan to construct a new city hall somewhere else was retracted and instead, they reconstructed the current city hall)
