UP Otaku Fest 2009

University of the Philippines – Cebu College in partnership with Bagsik and Higala Batch Organizations presents Otaku Fest: The Third Wave on December 12, 2009, Saturday at the UP-Cebu Grounds.

The Otaku Fest is an annual convention for fans and hobbyists that began two years ago. Since then, it has gained attention from various institutions, organizations and individuals engaged in the entertainment industry, or just average hobbyists. It has been gathering about 300-500 attendees each year.

Otaku Fest exists, first and foremost to cater to its’ participants interests. Anime, Comic books, Games, Movies and TV shows will always have a place in the hearts and minds of this generation and generations to follow, most especially with the advent of the internet and globalization. As long as the phrase ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’ stands, Otaku Fest will always have something to provide the community.
