Sinjin’s Visita Iglesia for the Holy Week Season: Sto. Rosario Church
Fifth in a series
Our fifth stop during our observance of the Visita Iglesia last Holy Thursday (April 9, 2009) was at the Sto. Rosario Church located at P. del Rosario St., Cebu City.
The Sto. Rosario Church was named after its patron, Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. Completed on August 22, 1933, the church is now one of the busiest churches in the city.

The church’s facade was renovated last year in line with the 75th anniversary celebration of the parish’s foundation.

The church’s main altar. On Holy Thursday, after the Last Supper Mass, this is the only church where I see priests holding confessions at the church pews.
